Jared Lau (Counselor Education, School Psychology, and Human Services) and colleagues from Oregon State University, Southern Oregon University, The Family Institute at Northwestern University, and Governors State University published an article, "," in the journal Counselor Education and Supervision, the flagship journal of the , an official division of the .
For their article, Lau and colleagues provide a rationale for inclusion of antiracist education in counseling and mental health programs. Furthermore, Lau and colleagues conducted an auto ethnographic study to explore their personal perspectives and experiences of using self as an instrument to teach antiracism principles in counseling training programs. The first of its kind in Counselor Education, their study also provides implications and recommendations to the field of counselor education in training the next generation of professional counselors.
