James Navalta and Nathaniel Bodell (both Kinesiology and Nutrition Sciences), along with Elizabeth Tanner, '17 Master of Exercise Physiology, recently published an article in the journal Aerospace Medicine and Human Performance. appears in the December issue. They report that increases in simulated altitude results in greater recovery time following exercise. Individuals who are active at altitude must consider the increased caloric deficit despite a loss of appetite that is common with altitude exposure. Bodell is a graduate student.
