Jacob D. Skousen (Educational Psychology Leadership and Higher Education) coauthored the book chapter "Efforts to Prevent Mass Shootings in Schools: The Practice, the Costs, and Superintendents’ Experiences with Arming School Personnel" in the book . The experiences of superintendents in school districts with armed personnel are detailed in this chapter. In addition, based on empirical evidence recommendations are made for superintendents and policymakers considering the practice of arming school district employees as a measure to augment school safety.
