Iván Sandoval-Cervantes (Anthropology) recently published a book chapter (in Spanish) titled: "" (Being a True Migrant: Temporality and Ephemerality while Crossing Mexico), in the edited open access volume Ética, PolÃtica y Migración (Ethics, Politics and Migration) published by the Autonomous University of Ciudad Juarez. Based on fieldwork in Mazatlan, Sinaloa, this chapter analyzes the relationship between narratives of deservingness and time in the perilous journeys of Central Americans migrants as they cross Mexico en route to the Mexico-U.S. border.
