Gregory A. Borchard (Journalism and Media Studies) is the editor of the second edition of the , which was released by SAGE Publishing in March. According to the publisher's description, the encyclopedia covers all significant dimensions of journalism, such as print, broadcast, and Internet journalism; U.S. and international perspectives; and history, technology, legal issues and court cases, ownership, and economics. It consists of more than 500 signed entries from scholars, experts, and journalists, including a dozen UNLV faculty members.
Borchard also has edited the journal Journalism History and authored A Narrative History of the American Press and Abraham Lincoln and Horace Greeley.
