Frank Alaimo (Office of Information Technology) coordinated the development and installation of a new video wall in the cardio area of the Student Recreation and Wellness Center (SRWC). The new wall implements cutting-edge technology that is beautiful to look at while offering diverse functionality and reduced maintenance costs. It would be an impressive feature at a major commercial gym facility, let alone a university. The video wall shows that UNLV cares about the student and SRWC member experience and that the rec center facilities have incredible amenities to offer our community.
The hardware company, Planar, has featured the video wall as a case study on its website. We also have been contacted by Blueprint PR, which is interested in creating a press release on the project for publication in media serving the A/V industry as well as other audiences.
