Undergraduate and graduate students in the electrical and computer engineering program participated in the 11th International Symposium on Visual Computing held in Las Vegas Dec. 14-16. Students who were part of presenting four papers included:
- Mohammad Shokrolah Shirazi (PhD), B. Morris: ” Vision-based Vehicle Counting with High Accuracy or Highways with Perspective View” and “Safety Quantification of Intersections Using Computer Vision Techniques”

- Justin Le (undergraduate), Ali Pour Yazdanpanah (PhD), E. Regentova, V. Muthukumar: "A Deep Belief Network for Classifying Remotely Sensed Hyperspectral Data"
