Dr. David Cappelli (Dental) received a Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) award of $1.5 million to develop the “Nevada Predoctoral Rural Oral Health and Health Equity Program,” which will focus on the oral health needs of underserved people living in rural and frontier areas within the Silver State. The five-year grant will help connect future practitioners with rural health care opportunities, help reduce oral health inequities, and establish a pipeline into rural health care placement.
