Dave Beisecker (Philosophy) published a paper, "Regions of Force: Peirce, Frege, Carroll and Bilateral Proof Trees," in the European logic journal, Logique & Analyse. The paper shows how distinct and overlooked diagrammatic insights in the logical notations of three 19th-century logicians are brought together in a novel visual system of proof.
