Chyllis E. Scott (Teaching and Learning), her doctoral students, Sonja Howard and Katherine Hallford (both Teaching and Learning), and colleagues Mae Lane of Sam Houston State University, Cindy Benge of Eastern New Mexica University, and Montana K. McCormick of Towson University, recently published an article, "." This article examined the influences of diverse literature through virtual asynchronous literature circles on teacher knowledge. It also explored literacy instruction and texts shape pedagogical views about social justice and teaching practices for teacher candidates and practicing teachers. Additionally, this article was also the recipient of the Betty G. Sturtevant Exemplary Article Award.
