Miskey, Lupo, Wirth, and Lampert presented “Student Support for Digital Initiatives: Integrating Student Assistants into Staff Workflows.” Lampert also moderated discussions on Linked Data.
Heinbach was part of a panel discussion, “Nurturing Citizen Scholarship: Civic Education and Digital Learning in the Neoliberal University.”
Melvin was on a panel, “Meet the New Repository, Different from you Old Repository: Migration Stories from the Front”, and presented “Using Machine Learning & Text-mining for Scholarly Output: A Semi Automated Approach to Unlocking Knowledge and Value Latent in Unstructured Text.”
As part of the National Digital Stewardship Alliance (NDSA) 2018 DigiPres Forum conducted with DLF, Georgeiva conducted a presentation, “The Digital Librarian: the Liaison Between Digital Collections and Digital Preservation” and presented a poster during the NDSA reception. She also moderated sessions on “Born-Digital Management” and “Planning to Preserve: Digital Preservation Assessment-Based Training.”
Shaw presented “Integrating Online Archival Descriptions and Digital Objects using Drupal.”
Lapworth and Chung presented “Collecting Data for User-Focused Improvements to Digital Collections.”
