The group received the Mission Award for Education during the Splunk GovSummit Conference in Washington, D.C., last month.
The public sector innovation awards recognize leaders who are using big data to advance technology within their organizations and industries. The Mission Award is given to those who are increasing transparency, improving decision-making, or revealing hidden insights through the use of Splunk’s platform solution to achieve its organization’s mission.
UNLV's research team used WebCampus data . Although Splunk is used for IT systems throughout higher education, UNLV is the first to implement the platform to assist in faculty research.
