Caleb Green (Law) recently received the Cultural Diversity Foundation Scholarship award. Currently a Boyd School of Law student, Green, '15 BA Computer Science, is a former McNair Scholar. He continues to excel academically while giving back to the university and the community. He has participated in the law school's community service program and has helped create a pro bono service project that conducts legal research for the public defender’s office on proposed legislation. He serves as president of the Black Law Student Association and as community service chair of the Immigration Law Society. In addition, he serves on the Advisory Committee of The Intersection. Through his participation in leadership programs and activities, Green has proven himself to be a dedicated and committed student and leader. Nominated by his peers as the outstanding student of the immigration class, he has worked with those faced with deportation, educating them about their rights and the resources available. In addition, he has provided testimony related to proposed legislation mandating local law enforcement to detain individuals without legal status.
