Brittany Fiedler (Libraries) has been selected as an American Library Association (ALS) Emerging Leader. The is a leadership development program for newer librarians. The program is limited to no more than 50 participants each year.
The program kicks off with a day-long session during the ALA Midwinter Meeting, and continues with a six months of online and networking sessions, culminating with a poster session presentation at the ALA Annual Conference.
Fiedler joined University Libraries in August after serving as a library media specialist at Tarkanian Middle School. She earned bachelor's and master's degrees from UNLV, as well as her master of science in library and information science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
