Brett Abarbanel (International Gaming Institute) has been appointed to the International Advisory Panel (IAP) for Singapore’s National Addictions Management Service and the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG) for a two-year term. The IAP is a coordinated effort from Singapore’s Ministry of Health and Ministry for Social and Family Development that is responsible for reviewing and recommending measures in the prevention, education, treatment, and management of problem gambling and other addictions. Nicholas Khoo, chairman of the Singapore Cybersports & Online Gaming Association, and Audrey Seah, director of the NCPG, recommended Abarbanel’s appointment based on her work and expertise in esports, social gaming, and online gambling.
