Austin Horng-En Wang (Political Science) published a co-authored op-ed, "", on East Asian Forum, a peer-reviewed foreign policy discussion forum. This article analyzes representative surveys ranking all four elected presidents in Taiwan since the democratization in 1996. The result shows that the former president Lee Tung-hui, who was elected in 1996 and passed away in July 2020, enjoyed cross-partisan support and is ranked top one in the eyes of Taiwanese voters.
