Ashley Schobert (Law and Brookings Mountain West) recently co-wrote an op-ed for the Brookings Institution with Brookings Senior Fellow . The piece, "," discusses how although women are working more and keeping middle class families economically afloat, their wages still take a hit when they become mothers; turning a motherhood wage penalty into a family wage penalty.
Over the summer, Schobert completed a prestigious internship for the Future of the Middle Class Initiative at the Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C.. She currently is pursuing a law degree at the William S. Boyd School of Law.
