Alfredo Fernandez-Gonzalez (Architecture) and his involvement with have led to the UNLV School of Architecture being the only academic institution to be a partner, along with the American Institute of Architects and more than 15 of the top global architecture and construction firms, being part of a global teach-in to showcase the most effective building materials, construction methods, design tools, architecture and planning strategies and policies to dramatically and rapidly reduce the embodied and operational carbon emissions of buildings. With buildings and infrastructure responsible for well over half of all annual global carbon emissions, the international architecture and building community must play a key role in meeting the 1.5°C target of the Paris Agreement. for free.
