Description
Systematic sociological study of bodies, emphasizing bodies as social and biological phenomena. Course highlights how bodies are intertwined with identities and multiple axes of oppression, including our race, class, ability, sex, gender, and sexuality. Also examines how ideologies about bodies shape our opportunities and constrain our lives.Prerequisites
SOC 101 or SOC 102 or PSY 101 or ANTH 101
