Probes literature from the ex-colony: Africa, the Caribbean, Ireland, India, America, Canada, Australia. V.S. Naipaul, Derek Walcott, Wole Soyinka, Salman Rushdie, Jamaica Kincaid, Toni Morrison, Claude McKay, Maya Angelou, David Dabydeen, Chinua Achebe, among others. This course is crosslisted with ENG 686B. Credit at the 600-level requires additional work.Prerequisites
