Course Consent Form
If you are having problems registering for a class, you may or may not fulfill the prerequisites.
If you DO meet the pre and co-requisite(s) and MyUNLV will not let you register, fill this online form out to request course permission. Your request will be completed within 3 to 5 business day, excluding holidays and weekends.
If you DO NOT meet the pre or co-requisite(s) for a course you will need Department Chair's and Associate Dean approval if prerequisites are not met. You will need to fill out this form and return it to the College of Engineering Advising Center for processing. Please read this form carefully and follow the instructions as indicated.
Course Repeat Form
If you have taken a College of Engineering course 3 or more times you must submit a repeat petition and justification for consideration. (You do not need to submit a repeat petition for math, physics, chemistry or general education courses only College of Engineering department specific courses.)
Please fill out the form and attach the general petition form and your justification. The deadline to submit the request and petition for Spring 2025 is FIVE business days prior to your course starting, the deadline is Monday, January 13, 2025.

Once the everything is submitted it will go through the decision process and could take 5 to 7 days. Once a decision is made students will be notified through the UNLV email.
