Learning Outcomes

Inquiry and Critical Thinking

  1. Students will be able to relate theory to empirically grounded research that will help to equip them for an era of globalization in which they will need to understand and interact with societies and cultures beyond their own.

Global/Multicultural Knowledge and Awareness 

  1. Students will be able to discuss the importance of the astounding variety of human cultures and describe the principles anthropologists employ for studying them.
  2. Students will be able to explain fundamental cultural themes in at least one society other than their own, and their relationship to the dynamics of social organization.

Career Possibilities

An Anthropology minor, like an Anthropology major can prepare students for a large number of careers because of the general background on human behavior gained from this degree.
