The Department of Counselor Education, School Psychology, and Human Services offers an Advanced Graduate Certificate in School Counseling. The certificate program is designed for individuals already holding master's degrees in counseling who are seeking to enhance their professional counseling practice and licensure options.
The Advanced Graduate Certificate in School Counseling is targeted primarily toward those individuals who have graduated from CACREP accredited or equivalent programs, but do not meet the necessary educational requirements for the School Counseling License in the State of Nevada.

Learning Outcomes
Students will:
- Adjust counseling intervention strategies to address diverse student needs and cultural contexts within the school counseling environment
- Apply data and program evaluation skills to select appropriate intervention models, assess progress, and present findings
- Develop and organize a comprehensive school counseling program
- Identify and administer treatment plans to address the personal, social, academic, and career needs of K-12 students.
