Please see below for a list of instructions, dates, and deadlines for part-time instructor (PTI) transactions. 

Fall semester obligation begins on August 19 and ends December 20.

New Hires

  • Initiate in Workday by July 12
  • Hire date:  August 19
  • First day of work:  August 19 
    • Note:  If the course is a modular set, use the relevant dates
  • Costing allocation start date: August 19 
  • Costing allocation end date:  leave blank
  • Include course information, class days, number of credits and per credit rate in the comments field

Add Job

  • Initiate in Workday by July 12
  • Effective date:  Use the date you are initiating the transaction
  • First day of work: August 19 
    • Note:  If the course is a modular set, use the relevant dates
  • Costing allocation start date: August 19
  • Costing allocation end date: leave blank
  • Include course information, class days, number of credits and per credit rate in the comments field for new hires.

Period Activity Pay (PAP)

  • Initiate in Workday by July 19
  • For PTI new hires, the job number (P#) will need to show before you can add the PAP.
  • For late entries, use an additional row for the August payment using activity dates August 19 - August 31 and payment dates September 1 to September 30 
    • The late entry for August will pay with the September payroll on October 1.
    • Please reference the   Training in RebelPeople.

Activity dates and payment dates should match (except for late new hires)
o   Activity Start Date:  August 19     Payment Start Date: August 19

o   Activity End Date:  December 20      Payment End Date: December 20

Note:  If the course is for modular instruction, use the relevant dates
Include course information, class days, number of credits and per credit rate in the comments field for new hires.

Remote I-9

If the employee will be working remotely (out of state), the remote I-9 process must be requested by July 12 to allow time for processing. For instructions, reach out to Jared Nitz at jared.nitz@unlv.edu.
