What are your plans for the future? (Marketing, personal life, and academia)
I graduate this December with my B.S. in Management and Marketing. I am still deciding between taking an internship or a full-time job after graduation. I am hoping to pursue a career in marketing or the hospitality industry. I am also hoping that the AMA case team will make it to finals this year!
Do you have any tips for creating a personal brand?
Two tips for creating a personal brand are consistency and differentiation. Find something that makes you unique and use it to your advantage. Also, make sure that you are consistent with the way that you portray yourself in all online platforms and in-person.
How has your experience at UNLV been thus far?
My experience at UNLV has been great! Joining AMA has made my UNLV experience worthwhile. I have made many friendships and learned so much about how to be a marketer.
What Marketing course has been your favorite and why?
My favorite marketing course was MKT 400. Dr. Wu is an excellent teacher and I learned so much in that course. I love the class’s structure, and the friends I made in that class are still my friends today. An honorable mention would be my advanced seminar in marketing with Dr. Nehls in London, England. That class was so much fun and inspired my love for marketing.
What do you think is a strength of UNLV’s Marketing department?
A strength of the UNLV marketing department is a strong sense of community. All of the professors and faculty are so kind and always willing to help. I have truly enjoyed every marketing class that I’ve taken and being able to connect with all my professors, and learn from them.
