Do you wish to deepen your understanding of your emerging research around linguistically diverse populations from a different or interdisciplinary perspective? Would you benefit from an opportunity to network with another scholar from a different discipline (outside of the field of education) who may share your research interests?
We are seeking five doctoral students to participate in an interdisciplinary mentoring program. If you are interested, please send the following to Dr Sharolyn Pollard-Durodola:
- A Letter of Interest describing your emerging research or research interests in linguistically diverse populations.
- A Current CV
- An abstract of the work you are involved in
- If you’re not in dissertation yet, send an abstract of your emerging research topic.
All documents must be emailed to Sharolyn.pollard-durodola@unlv.edu by April 1st
If selected for the mentoring program, you will meet Dr. Pollard-Durodola to:
- Discuss your research related to linguistically diverse populations.
- Identify a discipline beyond the field of education (e.g., law, history, international studies, anthropology) that could potentially contribute new knowledge regarding your emerging research interests.
- Identify a potential interdisciplinary mentor.
