UNLV's CSUN Student Government and the College of Fine Arts are excited to announce the availability of a grant for Fine Arts majors who are approaching Spring 2024 graduation and are facing financial hardships or barriers that might affect their ability to complete their remaining coursework.

AWARD AMOUNTS:
Individual financial awards will be determined by a professional staff committee. Financial awards will not exceed the current total amount owed to UNLV. Awards will likely be close to $500. Awards may be applied to past due account balances at UNLV.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Undergraduate student majoring in Fine Arts
  • Minimum 2.0 UNLV GPA
  • Minimum 2.7 Major GPA
  • Earned 100 or more credits
  • Enrolled (or plan to enroll in) in at least 3 credits for Spring 2024 semester
  • Projected Graduation Term must be Spring 2024

  • The deadline to submit a completed application (form and uploaded personal statement) is 5:00pm on Wednesday November 1st
  • Any application or personal statement received on or after 5:00pm on Wednesday November 1st may not be considered
  • Please upload a 1-2 page statement to explain how this grant will help you achieve your academic goal(s) in completing a Bachelor's Degree in the College of Fine Arts at UNLV
  • Include any financial hardships or financial barriers you encountered that might otherwise have prevented you from or delayed you in completing your degree requirements for graduation (examples: demonstrated financial hardship: loss of income, unexpected expenses like child care, medical, cost of housing increase, etc.)
  • Incomplete applications will not be considered

BY SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION, I CERTIFY:

  • The information provided is true and complete to the best of my knowledge.
  • I understand that incomplete applications will not be reviewed or considered.
  • I authorize the UNLV professional staff to verify my eligibility, which includes enrollment status, unofficial transcript, and GPA.
  • I certify that I will not be receiving a stipend for an elected or appointed position within CSUN during the academic year for which this scholarship will be awarded.
  • I understand that I may not be awarded Continuing Education Grants from more than one College.
  • I understand that my application will not be accepted if I have not met the requirements outlined above.
  • I understand that I will be required to return some or the entire grant awarded if I fail to meet the eligibility requirements for the duration of the grant period, and that any chargeback may appear on my UNLV account.
  • Students have maximum financial aid award eligibility for each semester. If a grant or scholarship awarded is in excess of this maximum amount, other financial aid awards may be reduced.
