The Nevada Arts Council partnered with Americans for the Arts for a nationwide study of the arts and culture sector via the Arts & Economic Prosperity 6 (AEP6) study. The data was collected from Summer 2022 to May 2023 to better understand the economic impact of the nonprofit arts and culture industry with two primary data collection efforts:​

  • An audience-intercept survey of attendees to arts and culture events that take place in the community

  • A budget and attendance survey of the nonprofit culture organizations in the community

Some of you may remember that, with the support of , we offered the chance for our patrons to take these surveys at many of our events during that timeframe. Below are the statistics for Nevada as a whole, Las Vegas specifically, and then the nationwide numbers. As you can see, the arts are a large part of the economy.
