Maria Donnalin Maliwat
Maria Donnalin Bugay Maliwat, '98 BS Hotel Administration, says she is proud that her oldest daughter, Carmella Bugay, is a UNLV senior majoring in health care administration who is on track to receive her bachelor's degree in 2017. Carmella also is in her fourth year as a UNLV cheerleader. The family lives in Henderson.

Dustin Bermingham, '95 BS Hospitality Administration, is a general manager/head grower of a cannabis collective. Also a cannabis consultant, he lives in Morgan Hill, California.
Tim A. Markel
Tim Markel, '96 BS Business Administration, Accounting, has been promoted to president of MurowICM, an Irvine-based consulting company. He joined the team in 2013 as chief operating officer and will continue his current responsibilities. In his new role, he will oversee accounting and operations functions and seek opportunities outside the Southern California market. His hobbies include surfing, golfing and relaxing with his family. He and his wife, Erika, have two children, Lily and Jack. The family lives in San Juan Capistrano, California.
S. Eric Pratt
S. Eric Pratt, '96 BA History, is working as a telephone interviewer, conducting political surveys while looking for work related to his education and training. A Rebel Yell employee while at UNLV, he received certification in journalism from the International Correspondence Schools. He is a devoted musician who has completed his first album and is beginning to perform in public. In addition to music, his hobbies include movies and art.
W. Paul Miller
W. Paul Miller, '10 PhD Civil Engineering, and Jessica Lucero Miller, '12 PhD English Literature, are proud to announce the birth of their first child, Isaac Catalino Miller, on May 12. Isaac already is a big Rebel fan and looks forward to visiting the campus soon! In the meantime, he's looking forward to attending alumni events in Utah. The family lives in Salt Lake.
Andrew Brescini
Andrew Brescini, '06 BA Social Science Studies, has joined Onward as senior manager of product planning & operations in Anaheim, California. The company provides comprehensive group travel services, specializing in university and athletics travel, performance groups, corporate incentives, athletic event management, and receptive inbound tour operations within North America. Previously, he worked as a business development manager for Destination America. He and his wife have a 1-year-old daughter. The family lives in Lakewood.
John Jayson Medema
John Jayson Medema, ’15 BS Geology, joined Quantum Spatial, the largest geo-spatial science firm in the nation. He recently completed research and development of radiometric correction of 48-band hyperspectral imagery. He is planning to apply to the master of science program at Portland State University in Oregon. Hiking, camping, fishing, and fitness are his hobbies. He lives in Gresham.
Beatriz Martinez
Beatriz Martinez, ’15 Master of Public Administration, joined the Clark County Regional Flood Control District in August 2015 as its public information coordinator. Running and volunteering are her hobbies.
Wendy Yang
Wendy Yang, ’14 BA Economics, is a financial advisor at Morgan Stanley in Los Angeles. She misses UNLV, but enjoys yoga, ballroom dancing, and singing. She lives in San Gabriel.
Sharon Smith
Sharon Smith, ’14 MS Counselor Education, has worked at Seven Hills Behavioral Hospital and as a gospel singer at the House of Blues gospel brunch. Her hobbies include movies, singing, and traveling.
Kacilyn Schroeder
Kacilyn Schroeder, ’14 BS Business Administration, has been a marketing and communications specialist for enrollment and student services at UNLV since January 2015. From 2011 to 2014 she held many jobs as a student worker, including intramural program assistant, enrollment assistant, Rebel Recruiter, student orientation leader, and marketing and communications assistant.
Noela Estrada
Noela Estrada, ’14 BA Communication Studies, is an admissions advisor at National University in Henderson. Right after graduation she worked in the food and beverage industry. She says her new job has been a great change of pace, allowing her to learn new skills and brush up on old ones. A lifelong athlete, she was a member of UNLV’s track and field team under coach Yvonne Wade. She enjoys attending all types of sporting events, spending time with family and friends, and going to the beach.
