Laura Harbison

Laura Hatcher Harbison, '90 BS Business Administration - Management, is the owner of Realty Executives Southern Nevada Properties.  Having worked for Realty Executives International as a broker/salesperson and branch manager of its Henderson/Anthem location since 1997, she acquired the Clark County franchise in 2017. With more than 6,500 career transactions, she is ranked in the top 1 percent of all real estate professionals nationwide, and has consistently been a top producer worldwide for the Realty Executives International Franchise System. She is happily married to John Harbison, with whom she has seven children and three dogs. Two of the children attend UNLV. Son Joshua Harbison is a senior majoring in communication studies, while daughter Kameron Harbison is a sophomore who has not yet declared a major.  

Ian Zabarte

Ian Zabarte, '01 BA Communication Studies, was appointed as a member of the Licensing Support Network Advisory Review Panel of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission in November.

Aaron McArthur

Aaron McArthur, '05 MA History, '12 PhD History, has been granted tenure and promoted to associate professor at Arkansas Tech University (ATU). He is director of the public history program and assistant director of the ATU Museum. He lives in Russellville.

Michael Roitman

Michael Roitman, '09  BA Political Science, soon will begin practicing corporate transactional law at Sklar Williams. He recently returned to Las Vegas after attending the University of Virginia School of Law and practicing corporate law in New York City at White & Case. His hobbies include ultimate Frisbee, making chili and pickles, and caring for his pet dog and bearded dragon

Irene Wandtke

Irene Sereno Wandtke, '04 BS Business Administration - Accounting, became a shareholder in Gerety & Associates, CPAs last year. She is married to Richard Wandtke, '89 BS Business Administration - Marketing.

Eric Ensign

Eric Ensign, ’07 BS Business Administration - Marketing, was appointed to the board of directors and also volunteers as the director of marketing and development for the Ensign Cancer Research Foundation. The foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides funding for cancer research and has been regarded as one of the top 10 giving foundations in Nevada. Previously, he was the vice president of operations and general manager for Wendover Resorts, which is the parent company for the Wendover Nugget Hotel and Casino, Red Garter Hotel and Casino, and Utah Trailways.

Lauren Calvert

Lauren Calvert, '03 BS Business Administration - Economics, '07 JD, joined the law firm Bighorn Law in 2014. She heads the firm's complex litigation division and was promoted to general counsel for software company Filevine. She and her partner, Edward Cave, '93 Hotel Administration, live in Las Vegas.

Perry Keith Todd

Perry Keith Todd, '84 BS Hotel Administration, has worked in the hospitality industry for 45 years — 35 years in gaming and 10 in food service, holding multiple management and supervisory positions. Currently he works as a table games supervisor for Boyd Gaming. He also lectures on "Gambling In Your Town."  A 20-year member of the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, he has worked on a number of movies and television shows, including the PBS documentary Lords of the Mafia and the recent films Back Seat and Gloria. He has written a script, The Diplomat, about Angelo Bertolotti, the father of the late actress Brittany Murphy. He and his wife of 19 years enjoy traveling and have traveled extensively through Europe as well as to Vietnam, Korea, and Thailand. He has three stepchildren, all of whom work in gaming and hospitality.    

Jasmine Crighton

Jasmine Crighton, '06 MA Journalism and Media Studies, recently received two advisor of the year honors from national media organizations for her work at Western Illinois University. She received the Jeff Tellis Outstanding Advisor Award for College Television from the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System. This award recognizes outstanding leadership, dedication, and service to college television stations. She is news coordinator of NEWS3, the student-produced television newscast at Western Illinois. She also was recognized as Advisor of the Year by the National Broadcasting Society (NBS) for her work with WIU’s NBS chapter. Previously, she received an Emmy for outstanding technical director for a March 2008 broadcast at FOX5 KVVU. In 2017, Crighton was elected to the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Mid-America Board of Governors. She also serves as recording secretary for the Illinois News Broadcasters Association. Before moving to Western Illinois, she taught broadcasting at West Liberty University and worked as the producer of WTOV9's morning show in Steubenville, Ohio. She lives in Macomb, Illinois.           

Linda Manley Darling

Linda Manley Darling, '05 BA Art, is a stock market investor. Attending theater, hockey, and community events are among her hobbies. She lives in Kennewick, Washington.

Jeff Brucker

Jeff Brucker, '00 BS Sports Injury Management, is vice president of product development for HumanN, a leader in science-backed nutritional products. He lives in Austin, Texas.
