Dawn Nation Ward, '99 BA Theatre Arts, sat for and passed the February 2018 California Bar Examination. She now is licensed to practice law in California, Ohio, and Illinois. She is entering her fourth year as a professor of paralegal studies at Cerro Coso Community College. She lives in Ridgecrest, California.

Lisa Segler
Lisa Segler, '11 Master of Public Health, married Kristofer Segler, '17 BS Electrical Engineering, in January. In March, she became director of senior hunger programs at Three Square Food Bank. She also is president-elect of the Nevada Public Health Association and will serve a three-year term. In 2017, she graduated from Las Vegas's premier leadership program, Leadership Las Vegas. She is pursuing a doctoral degree in public health at UNLV. Her hobbies include volunteering with the Junior League of Las Vegas, traveling with her husband, and taking their dog, Charlie, to the dog park. The couple lives in Henderson.
John Piro
John Piro, '05 BA Criminal Justice, '10 JD, recently celebrated his sixth year as a public defender, now serving as chief deputy public defender for Clark County. This summer he will graduate in the Leadership Las Vegas class of 2018. In April he completed his first triathlon and plans to compete again in October. He is married to Leslie Nino Piro, '06 BA Political Science, '09 JD.

Colin Seale
Colin Seale, '12 JD, is the founder and CEO of thinkLaw, a company that teaches critical thinking skills to students using legal cases. Fairy tales and nursery rhymes are used to teach students in kindergarten through second grades because there are many shades in children's literature. The company operates in 11 states, including Nevada, and has impacted more than 200,000 students since launching in 2015.

Amanda Stevens, '02 BSBA Finance and BSBA International Business, '08 MBA, and '15 JD, recently started Battle Born Capital, which specializes in private lending secured by real estate, also known as trust deed investing. The company brokers high-quality, short-term real estate loans for its investors, secured by trust deeds on property in the Las Vegas Valley.

Bryan Moody
Bryan S. Moody, '08 BA History, joined the U.S. Foreign Service in 2016. He carries a diplomatic passport, is a contracting officer with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and was recently stationed in Nairobi, Kenya, to work out of the U.S. Embassy there. He is married to Katerina Madarkova Moody, '16 BA Psychology, who also carries a diplomatic passport. She is just a few classes away from completing a degree in neuroscience at King's College in London. The couple has two daughters, Scarlett, 5, and Caroline, 3. Bryan says they are a long way from Southern Nevada, but never will forget their Las Vegas roots.
Audrey Beeson
Audrey J. Beeson, '04 BA Political Science, '07 JD, will graduate in May from the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law with an LLM in alternative dispute resolution with a focus in mediation. She has been selected as a mediator for the statewide juvenile dependency mediation program. Previously, she was a mediator - outsource provider as well as a parenting coordinator - outsource provider for Nevada's Eighth Judicial District Court.
