UNLV officials are warning the public to beware of scam artists purporting to sell magazine subscriptions on behalf of the Hank Greenspun School of Communication and its students.
Gary Kreps, director of the Hank Greenspun School, said his office has received complaints from citizens who have been asked by young men to buy magazine subscriptions that they said would benefit the school.
"We have no students out selling magazines on the school's behalf," Kreps said. "Our school has many wonderful supporters in the Southern Nevada community and we do not want to see them duped into this scheme."
