It's not too late to apply for admission and enroll in classes this fall at UNLV, according to Juanita Fain, UNLV's new dean of enrollment management.
Students have until Aug. 23 to enroll for the fall semester without paying a late fee. Admissions applications will be accepted until that date as well.
"Please stop by our admissions office or call 895-3443 to receive your free class schedule and get further information about our programs," Fain said.
"It's an exciting time to enroll at UNLV," she added. "Nearly 20,000 students are expected to enroll this fall, and they will be coming to a dynamic and progressive campus that is both student-centered and responsive to the needs of the community."
Fain noted that UNLV's senior citizens program is one of the ways the university is helping to meet the needs of the community.
"Senior adults 62 years and older can take classes tuition-free at UNLV," she said, adding that the program is very popular among the large senior citizen population in Southern Nevada.
Fall semester classes and late registration begin Aug. 26. Students may sign up for classes Aug. 26-30, but a late fee will be charged.
