New Student Welcome & President's BBQ
- When: Friday, Aug. 26, from noon to 2 p.m.
- Location: near UNLV Student Union
- Details: UNLV President Neal Smatresk will officially welcome new students and their parents to the university during a campus BBQ.
UNLV Fall Semester Begins
- When: Monday, Aug. 29 at 8 a.m.
- Details: Throughout the day, UNLV staff will run "ask me" booths to answer students' questions. The booths will be located at the Student Union Pida Plaza, the Student Recreation and Wellness Center, Tam Alumni Center, Lied Library and the Alta Ham Fine Arts building.
"Premier UNLV"
- When: Thursday, Sept. 1, 5 to 9 p.m.
- Location: North Field (east of the UNLV Student Union, near the Lied Library)
- Details: featuring fireworks and the formation of a giant illuminated "UNLV" created by hundreds of UNLV students and alumni with flashlights.
UNLV Rebel Football Home Opener vs. University of Hawaii
- When: Saturday, Sept. 17, 7 p.m.
- Location: Sam Boyd Stadium
- Description: Join UNLV head football coach Bobby Hauck and the for the first home game of the season.
UNLV State of the University Speech
- When: Thursday, Sept. 22, 10 to 11: 30 a.m.
- Location: UNLV Artemus Ham Hall
- Details: UNLV President Neal Smatresk will provide an update on the university.
