Renowned psychologist Dr. Robert J. Sternberg will offer a lecture on the nature of creativity this Thursday, September 22 at 7:30 PM. This special presentation, titled "Creativity Is a Decision," is presented by UNLV's Honors College and the Office of Research and Graduate Studies. The lecture, which will be held in the Marietta Tiberti Grand Hall in the Richard Tam Alumni Center, is free and open to the public.
Currently serving as dean of Arts and Sciences at Tufts University, Sternberg is a former president of the American Psychological Association. Sternberg previously served as the IBM Professor of Psychology and Education at Yale University and as the director of the Yale Center for the Psychology of Abilities, Competencies, and Expertise (PACE). He has published hundreds of books, journal articles, and other scholarly works on the psychology of intelligence, creativity, wisdom, and other aspects of intellectual ability.
