Finance professor Percy Poon has been appointed interim dean of the Lee Business School. He will serve during this academic year while the search for a permanent dean continues.
Poon received his Ph.D. in Finance from Louisiana State University and has been at UNLV since 1989. He has served as chair of the department of finance and as associate dean for administration and outreach. In 2010 he received the UNLV Outstanding Department Chair Award. He has authored more than dozen refereed articles and several other publications in well respected outlets.
He will begin his duties as Interim Dean on July 1, 2012.
