The economic forecasts for both the nation and for Southern Nevada will be the topics of discussion during UNLV's Center for Business and Economic Research Mid-Year Economic Outlook Conference to be held July 25.
Leading the presentations will be Dr. R. Keith Schwer, director of the center; Dr. Mary Riddel, associate director of the center; and Robert Potts, senior research associate at the center.
They will review the current economic conditions and offer insights about where the national and local economies are heading.
The conference will take place from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the UNLV International Gaming Institute located in the Stan Fulton Building. (The building is located at the southeast corner of Flamingo Road and Swenson Street.) The cost for an individual to register before July 18 is $50. After July 18 the registration fee is $55 per person.
