Lynette Boggs McDonald, UNLV's director of marketing and community relations, recently received a Women's Award of Achievement from University of Notre Dame.
She was one of six prominent alumnae honored by the university in conjunction with the celebration of Notre Dame's 25th year of coeducation. One recipient was chosen from each of the university's four colleges and from the graduate and law schools.
McDonald was chosen as the recipient from the College of Business Administration. She received a bachelor's degree in marketing from Notre Dame in 1985.
The award "recognizes women's enrichment of the university and commemorates the contribution their presence has made in the last quarter century in their chosen fields, in the world at large, and to the university" by honoring alumnae "whose lives reflect Notre Dame's standards of service and accomplishment."
McDonald received the award June 6 at a ceremony that took place during Notre Dame's annual Alumni Reunion.
Before joining the UNLV staff, McDonald spent three years as an assistant city manager for the city of Las Vegas.
