Gary Loveman, chief executive officer of Harrah's Entertainment, Inc., was recently named to the editorial advisory board of the UNLV Gaming Research and Review Journal.
Journal editor Betty McNeal says Loveman is uniquely qualified to serve in an advisory capacity because he is both a scholar and a gaming executive. "Dr. Loveman brings the prestige of his corporation as well as his university experience to enhance the reputation and integrity of the journal," McNeal said.
Loveman, who holds a Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, was also once a member of the faculty at Harvard University.
Other recent appointees to the journal's advisory board include Ki-Joon Back of Kansas State University and Mary Roseman of the University of Kentucky. Board members offer advice and recommendations to further the cause of academic scholarship in the field of gaming research.
