Peter Michel (Libraries) has published an article, "Reporting the Spanish Influenza Epidemic in Nevada" on . . The Spanish Influenza epidemic of 1918-19 is the only modern precedent for the current COVID-19 pandemic. The article describes how that pandemic, which claimed more than 600,000 lives in the United States, was reported in Nevada newspapers and how the people of Nevada reacted.
