Amber Sewell (Libraries) has had a proposal, "An Investigation into Responsible and Effective Data-Gathering of Diverse Student Narratives for an Information Privilege Instructional Game", accepted in the 2022 Institute for Research Design in Librarianship (IRDL). The proposal focuses on responsibly collecting diverse personal narratives from first- and second-year college students with the goal to sensitively implement them for instructional use. The IRDL is a continuing education program for academic and research librarians designed to create a growing community of confident librarian-researchers. During the year-long program, Sewell will attend a summer research workshop focused on social science research training and receive peer and formal mentor support in completing her research project.
